"OHANA...MARIE"

"OHANA...Marie"

"OHANA means FAMILY...and family means nobody gets left behind."
Certainly not Miss Marie, who is well loved by her dear family and friends! The unthinkable happened, when Ashley heard that her dear friend, Marie, was rushed to the hospital last night because of a possible brain aneurysm. Tonight, she lays in ICU hospital bed, "sleeping" until she wakes up again. Never once was she alone. Her loving friends and families all had a chance to hold her hand and whisper their love for her.

Ashley has always spoken so highly and lovingly of Marie. Marie has been a delightful blessing to her.   Ash stayed up late one night just printing and cutting pictures of them both as she made her birthday collage for Marie. I knew then that Marie was a very special person in my daughter's life. Marie is everyone's special person in their lives.

The Ohana Family of Friends all gathered around in the cafeteria to pray for Marie. We held hands, cried our tears, and asked God to perform a miracle in Marie's life. If anyone can heal her, God certainly can! We were able to share the message of salvation to each one. Life is too short. No one knows when we will take our last breath. We will all pass away someday. But we can have the assurance of being in the presence of God if we were to die, by simply believing and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts. Because of Marie's life and these hard circumstances, it's not a coincidence that the friends were brought closer to each other and to God.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." ~John 3:16

I had the opportunity to talk and pray with Marie as she laid in bed. Even while in a coma, I knew that she can feel my hand and hear my voice. It was a special time for me. In an instant, it could very well be my own daughter who may one day lay in a hospital bed. I just cherished each moment with Marie. Without a doubt, I will cherish every moment with my Ashley.

We all drew and wrote out our love for Marie on the cafeteria tables. We are trusting God that WHEN...not if...Marie wakes up, she will be able to see and read all these wonderful tokens of love! Because of Marie, her circle of Ohana Friends are burdened to pray and join hands at their school. It's time to shine the light at Bethel High!

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Our dearest MARIE ANGELA... When you wake up, we will all be here for you. It will be like you never went to sleep. We love you, MARIE! Ohana Forever!

From Ashley:  I love you! Get better and I miss you so much! Ohana is here for you and will always be, forever. Please come back to school! Muah! Btw:  Arizona, Pa, Jr., and so much more!

From Royce:  You scared me little girl! I miss you and promise you that when you recover, I'm going to come see you. You will always be more that a friend to me. You're my inspiration, Beautiful, to be a doctor. My little girl, we love you!

From Terrie:  Miss Marie Angela, you're beautiful inside and out. You make boring days fun and get us all happy when we're sad. Ohana misses you so much, but we know you will be okay. We're staying strong for you. Can't wait to see you again all happy and smiling again!

From Mitz Bitz:  "Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." Throughout this whole process, I've never seen our family closer. We are seeing each other break down. We really love you so much, Marie. WE are praying like crazy and all we can do is let go and let God. I've learned that we will never leave anyone behind, especially you right now. I wish we can all stay until you open your eyes and see us standing by you. We love you more than anything. God's watching over you baby girl!

From Chelsie:  All I really want and am praying for is just to see my best friend smiling and telling me she's going to be alright. I know she'll always be in good hands and in our hearts. I love and miss you so much, Marie. Know that we're always here for you. Be that strong girl who stands with her head high...that I've known since we were babies... Love you baby girl!

From Bryana:  "Babygirl, I'm so proud of you. I'm so proud of how strong you're being. You still seem to amaze me after all of this happening. I was the first person Royce called, and he was freaking out and so was I, I didn't know what to do, I was scared.. REALLY scared. But I knew that sooner or later you'd pull through and be the strong girl you are. I pray now Marie, I barely use to pray.. You inspire me day by day, no matter how many times we've had tension, or gave each other attitudes, getting annoyed, we just cared. I love you so so much, the group goes by "Ohana" now, you know why? Because YOU started called US that. We're always here for you and always will be. You always seem to brighten everyone's day, make everyone laugh, and continue to make everyone smile. Ohana is here lifting you up until you get back on your own two feet, we'll always be here like you've always been here for us. Love you ♥"
